6:00pm - I hear the all too familiar sound of loud helicopters overhead. Which can only mean one thing- - that the Oakland Police will be out in force again tonight, doing what they are famous for...pushing people around and brutalizing them like thugs with badges.
And what a waste of money. C'mon, are you kidding me? They could have used the money they paid those 500 police to help feed the hungry or keep some schools open. But that's the problem. Our money is being mis-managed. What a perfect example. STOP WASTING OUR MONEY!
7:10pm - If the US saw this kind of treatment by the government being perpetrated on the citizens, in let's say, Iraq, they would quickly condemn the action and send our troops to the rescue.
EXCEPT.... when it happens here, it seems to be OK. Well, I wonder how we look to the world now. And believe me, the world is watching!
Next they will be firing on their own people (the OPD are just that clueless). Heaven forbid we come to the point where someone is killed because they wanted to sleep in a public park.
Get a grip.
Hope we can get rid of that awful flip flopping mayor and she takes that new police chief with her! Good riddance
