The Debt Ceiling - the truth behind the manufactured crisis

I've totally had it with the whole back and forth on the debt ceiling. Obama making so many recent TV appearances was beginning to make me nervous. I bet I'm not alone. And, how many of us really understand the real story behind this? The dems say one thing and the repubs say something completely different. Right now, they're in a stalemate. It's the theater of the absurd! Obama is showboating and the Republicans still make me sick :)  and the real truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.
