When the pet store was raided there were more than 80 puppies for sale. The puppies were kept in crowded cages. Many of them were sick and several died soon after they were purchased. They also picked up other puppies that had been kept in other locations. In the end the final total was about 100.

The Solano County SPCA stepped in to save the day and took the puppies into custody. The number of puppies they had to care for was overwhelming and they weren't equipped to provide for that many small puppies all at once. The workers took many home to care for them and nurse them back to health. Public donations poured in and helped with the cost of caring for the puppies and now they are about ready to begin the adoption process. The sentencing for the breeders has been delayed until 4/15.

Ewwww. Poor puppies. I'm glad you got your girls when you did.
I hope those greedy bastards get the Michael Vick treatment.
I wish I could rescue a few of those poor babies myself. Someday I will be in a place where I can have pets, and can actually feed them too. I'm working on it.
Anyway, your girls are adorable and I hope you keep working on the training. Little ones are the hardest sometimes, but it can be done. It is training us not to give into them that is the hard part!
