I got my tickets today for
The Eagles, Long Road Out of Eden Tour!! (Happy Dance)
The 1st show scheduled for Friday April 30th went on sale last month and was sold out within hours. I had to wait 3 long weeks for them to add another show for Sat May 1st. Tickets went on sale this morning at 10:00. At my age, I am not accustomed to setting a timer to snatch up tickets for a concert. But, today that is exactly what I had to do. I even went to the TicketMaster website a few minutes early and kept refreshing the page, waiting for the tickets to be available for purchase.
In case you didn't know.
The Eagles are
the Best Selling American Group
EVER!
I LOVE The Eagles!!! You know something else I like? Both Glenn Frey and Don Henley are older than me! Uh huh, believe it.
One of my favorite songs, Hotel California, topped the Billboard Hot 100 Singles for a week in May 1977. Three months later it was certified Gold. It also won The Eagles the 1977 Grammy Award for Record of the Year. In 2009 the song was certified Platinum by Digital Sales Award for sales of 1,000,000 downloads. That's what I'm talkin about!
As it turns out, The Eagles never even stayed at The Hotel California and there are many interpretations of the meaning of the song. They range from satanism/the occult, to drug addiction and beyond. Knowing life in the 70's I'll go with the theory that The Eagles had fame, considerable fortune and all the trappings that go along with it. I think the song is a metaphor for the decadence of their experience.

Maybe they'll tell us what it means and Maybe they won't.
Anyway, whatever it means...I'll be at the concert
Lovin every minute!

Congrats and I hope it's the best concert you've ever attended.
I like the Eagles and "Hotel California" is one of my favorite songs.
When I was younger, it always scared me but I still wanted to listen to it. LOL
