The Lovely Bones

I saw it on Sunday. I have not read the book. I heard that the movie was a bit scary. So when I decided to watch it, alone yesterday afternoon, I was a bit apprehensive. IMO some types of scary should just Not be seen alone! Anyway I thought the movie was a beautiful portrayal of what a possible "in between" might look like (we should be so lucky). The cinematography was excellent as was Saoirse Ronan, the actress that played Susie Salmon. I had not heard of her before but I think she shows potential. I thought the story was interesting and had just enough suspense to keep you a little off balance.  Scary? Not so much. And, as much as I enjoyed it, I felt like there was something missing. I'm not sure what....but something.
Think maybe I'll read the book.
