Boomer Travel Tips - Lost your camera while traveling? There's help

I stumbled upon some information I thought I would share with you today regarding lost cameras.

How many of you have experienced the frustration of losing your camera?  This is especially unnerving if it happens while you are traveling. Maybe you just set your camera down someplace while you were on a plane, a bus or a train or eating out and forgot to pick it up when you were ready to leave. The reality hits you like a ton of brick later when you reach for it and discover, its not there!

Fortunately, you can get help fast and easy these days. There are several services available. One such free service (CameraTrace) is on the internet and will help you trace your lost or stolen camera.

It’s also worth registering with and looking through camerafound.com. This website features lost and found postings using a Google Maps platform. The exact locations of cameras are indicated by colored dots on the map.

Or you might check ifoundyourcamera.net

Another simple and cheap way is to mark it with an anonymous id click

I try always keeping my camera on a strap around my neck but even that doesn't always work. It's nice to know there are a few options for possible retrieval.
