No More Weiner

Anthony Weiner resigned today as a result of a sexless sex scandal. Just like I predicted. The democrats showed no spine and rolled over under pressure. Sadly, just like I predicted.

Today many of the same pundits who yesterday called for his resignation are today talking about the double standard that exists between the parties in their handling of these (all too frequent) sleeze-fests. Today they are talking about the outrageous media circus that surrounded the story as they now speculate on "why" he resigned. Really?

Today we realize that a powerful progressives voice has been lost.

Weiner's in-your-face liberal politics angered many on the right and some on the left. I think this made him unpopular with both parties and ultimately led to his demise.

At any rate, we shall see how long it takes for government to get back to handling the people's business and solving the pressing issues facing our country, and how long it takes before the next "distraction" comes along.
And we all know
there will be more.
