Spotlight on "I Am"

Sunday UPDATE: saw this movie last night. It was pretty good. Lots of info that I already knew but posed some new ideas to consider.
Worth going to see
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did anyone happen to catch Oprah's show about a week or so ago? Her guest was Tom Shadyac. Tom Shadyac is a comedian, screenwriter, director and producer. He is most widely known for his success in directing the movies, Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty, Nutty Professor and the Pet Detective.
Shadyac became a huge success and quite a wealthy man. In 2007 he suffered post concussion syndrome after a bicycle accident in VA. He experienced months of agonizing pain and hyper sensitivity to light. During his recovery he came to the realization that all the wealth he had amassed was not making him happy and he subsequently gave up all of his money to live a different kind of life. One that was more in keeping with his inner passion.
He also produced a documentary called," I Am", which explores his personal journey, "the nature of humanity" and the world's growing addiction to materialism.
I was quite impressed with the interview and am looking forward to seeing the movie this weekend.
