Saturday Night in Uptown

Saturday night we were invited to dinner at the home of some friends, who live in my building. He (Pete) is a really good cook and his wife Maurine is a wonderful hostess (I think she cooks as well). We made some new friends, enjoyed some good food and wine and shared some great conversation. They have a beautiful dog named Ellie, who spent most of the evening under the table. A friend of theirs brought their darling little baby, Stewie, who just couldn't seem to fall asleep and was totally mesmerized by the light coming from the lamp. We even had a chance to watch some exciting videos from a recent safari to Africa. All in all we had a wonderful evening. Who could ask for anything more?
