Okay, I know, but I can't help myself. I gotta talk about it - this season's The Bachelor - On the Wings of Love. I'm giddy just saying the words!

If you thought there was some drama going on last week, Oooh Weee Monday night was a shocker. Jake was like a man on a mission. He sent 4 women home and get this... he even BURNED one of the roses! Jake seems so intent on finding a wife that he's overly anxious to get to the finale. I think he probably would have sent a couple more home if ABC would have let him. Whoa Jake, slow it down man!

Jake starts this episode with a 1 on 1 date with Gia. I think she's cute and they seem to have some chemistry. They even engage in a fake little game of hide and seek in the vineyard (how divine). In the end she gets a rose.

Next up - the Group Date - I thought that this was without a doubt one of the dumbest ideas for a date I've ever seen. I guess I'm showing my age here a bit  but...c'mon now, fake skiing down a sandy hill? Then rolling down the hill on your head and getting a mouth full of sand just to prove you're interested? Now that's entertainment ABC (how many out takes were there on this one?) I sort of zoned out at this point. Left for popcorn and a bathroom break.

Movin right along it's finally time for the 2 on 1 date with Ella & Kathryn. Of course you know, this is the kiss of death. "Only one comes back". O Kay so, first of all I never saw anything between Jake & Ella. The kid thing just wasn't working, she should have known better. I could tell she was bringing "Ethan" up a lit' tle too much! I could see it behind Jake's baby blues. If you are a woman and ever dated after divorce - with children, well, you may have seen that look.

And poor little Kathryn. Who is this woman anyway? Was she even on the show last week? No really. I'm serious. Anyway, Jake fakes his way thru a very dull dinner with the 2 of them. Ella went on and on blah, blah, blah while dull little Kathryn sat at the table with her mouth open. At the end of the dinner it's no wonder that he sent them both packin. No rose for either of you ladies tonight! Good Riddance (but this is a 1st in Bachelor history, I think)

Ready for the Final Rose Ceremony now? Well, I was. He only has to send one more lady home. Easy you say? Well, not so fast. Jake has other plans. When he is down to the last 3 girls (Ashleigh, Vienna & Jessie)  He suddenly can not go on with the show.  Tears welling up in his eyes he asks the ladies to excuse him and runs off stage to daddy Chris Harrison. "Daddy, daddy what would you do if you was me?" Chris feels his pain and grants him his wish of axing 2 girls instead of 1. Chris follows Jake back out to center stage to explain that Jake will be dumping 2 of them and then to deliver his  usual "Ladies this the final rose tonight" "Jake, when you're ready" That's my favorite line. Anyway he looks from lady to lady, (familiar rose ceremony music playing in the background). He lifts the rose slowly (in what seems like hours) and calls out......."Vienna....Vienna will you accept this rose?"

"Of course I will" (you idiot). A relieved but happy Vienna saunters forward and accepts her rose.

The other 2 rejected girls are stunned as are the girls who have already received roses. The audacity of Jake to give a rose to that hussy Vienna (they say it out-loud even)! After all, they had spent all afternoon bad mouthing her and trying to convince Jake that Vienna just wasn't "right for him."

So now off we go to frolic in San Francisco next week with the promise of a highly charged confrontation between my one time favorite gal Ali and Jake.

Can't wait!

I'm Just Sayin

FLASH - Update: 1/28/10

Reports just out that nude photos of Vienna have surfaced. The photos were taken before she did the Bachelor but not long before. We're talking last year. Just what this bachelor needs, more drama!
