Why Black Women are less Attractive

Satoshi Kanazawa, a 48 year old PhD is an evolutionary psychologist at the London School of Economics and controversial blogger for Psychology Today.

A recent piece written by Mr. Kanazawa appeared in Psychology Today entitled "Why Are Black Women Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women?."  The article, which was not based on any scientific principle, enraged readers and sent shock waves through the blogosphere.

The article was quickly taken down but not before screenshots made their way to BuzzFeed (a website that combines a technology platform for detecting viral content with an editorial selection process to provide a snapshot of the viral web in realtime. Cofounded by Jonah Peretti - who is also co-founder of The Huffington Post).  Satoshi's publication has now made its way to the office of change.org where an internet petition has been launched.

Satoshi included lots of colored bar graphs and charts for the basis of his "research."

He says: "The only thing I can think of that might potentially explain the lower average level of physical attractiveness among black women is testosterone."

"Africans on average have higher levels of testosterone than other races…women with higher levels of testosterone have more masculine features and are therefore less physically attractive."

His published findings were based on a survey of white, Asian, black and native American men and women who were asked to rate each other’s attractiveness based on photographs.

Black women scored lowest, Asian the highest.

This article is truly an insult to women of African descent all over the world.

Other discredited and controversial articles he has published include "What's Wrong with Muslims"

Psychology Today has remained silent.

If you're interested, please go to change.org and sign the petition demanding an apology from Psychology Today.

I can't understand why he would even be in a magazine like Psych Today, unless, it's (the mag.) not considered very relevant in the field of psych. magazines ! Any time an article like this appears, touting s/o superiority over another re race, gender, religion, etc. there will be, rightfully so, a furious and swift reaction from the masses.
